Advocacy in Action
The Faith Deanna Johnson Act is named in honor of a former NBC10 digital team intern and it guarantees coverage for Ovarian Cancer testing through health insurance plans.
It also provides more tests for patients who have received treatment.
Delaware Gov. John Carney signed HB15 into law Thursday afternoon in Dover literally minutes after the Senate approved it.
“Us losing our daughter in 2021, with this bill, it’ll save so many lives, thousands and thousands and thousands of lives. And then hopefully, we’ll get the chance to take this federal," her father, Dwain Johnson explained.

At Dreams of Faith, we are committed to promoting ovarian cancer awareness through various programs and initiatives. From educational events to fundraising campaigns, we strive to make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease. Join us in our efforts to raise awareness and support ovarian cancer research.
We also offer awareness items for sale as a fundraiser.
WE GOT TESTING AND SCREENING COVERED BY INSURANCE IN DELAWARE
We worked to require insurance companies in Delaware to pay for testing and screening of this disease. We want to support communities that are most often ignored, and void of life saving awareness and education about clinical trials or health options to mitigate the effects of this disease. WHAT WE DO
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Our community outreach program focuses on educating women about the importance of early detection since there is not currently any required annual screenings. We are frequently participating or hosting health Fairs to support the community.
ADVOCACY
We advocate for policies and legislation that support ovarian cancer research and treatment. By working with lawmakers and policy makers, we hope to make a lasting impact on the fight against ovarian cancer. Please see the details of the HB15-Faith Deanna Johnson Act.
FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS
Through our fundraising campaigns, we aim to raise money for ovarian cancer research and support services. From charity walks to online fundraisers, we are always looking for new ways to make a difference.
SUPPORT SERVICES
Our goal is to provide support and resources for women and families affected by ovarian cancer. Funding will increase our support serivces to those that need it the most.
