ABOUT DREAMS OF FAITH

Faith Deanna Johnson Foundation - "Dreams of Faith" a (501c3) organization, has a mission to implement the dreams of a young vibrant, loving, and compassionate soul that is now a Heavenly Angel.

Faith left us with a challenge to provide support to young ladies fighting this often, silent disease; to raise awareness, educate, and end the prognosis and diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer!

This cancer can be a quiet, misunderstood, and misdiagnosed disease, for several reasons. To highlight some of the factors contributing to this problem include: a lack of awareness and often a lack of early symptoms (education), non-standardized testing (research), ill-advised assumptions that assumes it affects only middle-aged women (awareness), are just a few...to mention for now.

ABOUT FAITH & THE FAITH DEANNA FOUNDATION

Faith Deanna Johnson had dreams of becoming a socially responsible journalist -

film producer. Conquering many odds at birth, Faith was blessed to have a community of believers, including her parents, who supported her journey from infancy to adulthood. As a preemie at birth, she earned her name "Faith". A true

Angel on this earth, Faith touched so many lives with her warm, compassionate,

and loving personality. She walked out her faith in our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ,

as a volunteer for several charitable causes including her church.

Faith was a champion of following your dreams. In 2016, she graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Film & Journalism. In her quest to produce socially responsible films and positive news, she continued her education at Temple University for graduate studies. She graduated at age 22, with her master’s degree,

in Film Studies. During her graduate studies, Faith was chosen as a paid intern at

NBC-10 in Philadelphia.

After obtaining her master’s degree, Faith started her professional career as a news producer at an NBC - affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio. Faith's frustration with negative stories consistently prioritized led her to change her interest to movie/TV production. Faith was then accepted into the sought after, inaugural cohort of the Amazing Stories Apprenticeship in Atlanta GA, founded by film producer, Rob Hardy. This training created many opportunities to gain experience and support several TV

series and films as a production assistant.

Unexpected illness eventually caused Faith to realign her professional career. After

a series of hospital visits, misdiagnosis and failures in our medical systems, Faith

was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. While fighting cancer, she had many dreams to help other young ladies such as herself. After the devastating

news, she remained a believer, positive, hopeful and a dreamer.

OUR PURPOSE

Dreams of Faith is proud to partner with organizations that share our mission of promoting ovarian cancer awareness. Our partners include hospitals, research institutions, and advocacy groups that are working to improve outcomes for women with ovarian cancer. Together, we are making a difference in the fight against this devastating disease.

Today, Faith's parents carrying-out her dreams since God reclaimed this Angel in 2021. The Faith Deanna Johnson Foundation-“Dreams of Faith.” has a mission

to end the lack of education and awareness of ovarian cancer that affects young ladies. On September 9, 2023, our team joined the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition for its Ovarian Cancer Walk at Neshaminy Park - Bensalem, PA. Our Team - A "Walk for Faith" raised over $3,500 directly donated to the NOCC's fight to end ovarian cancer.

The Faith Deanna Johnson Foundation raised almost $8,000 towards our own mission to fight ovarian cancer, specifically targeting young ladies such as Faith Deanna Johnson.

We want her dreams to become a reality, where young women’s voices are heard, when they experience unexplainable pain, which is often ignored, or

misdiagnosed by the medical community.

Our goal is to increase awareness, such that all stakeholders in the lives of our young ladies recognize the symptoms of this disease. The "Walk for Faith - 2024" is hoping to raise $25,000 to accomplish this critical mission.

We will continue to support national efforts; your donation will help us effectively raise awareness by targeting communities that are most often underserved. This will include targeted solutions that educate and provide financial/emotional support to young ladies that are fighting this disease as well as their families. Faith's heavenly birthday is on September 11th. We chose to support the NOCC walk again since it coincides with her birthday and aligns with our strategic goals.

Please JOIN our TEAM WALK this year on September 7, 2024, as we raise funds supporting this vital mission. Help us celebrate "Faith's Dreams" becoming a reality…. ending and educating young ladies about this disease. Registration will be available soon for the "Walk for Faith". Tax deductible donations are always needed, welcomed, and appreciated, as this mission continues after the annual "Walk" has ended.
